Swami Nammazhvar is known as Prapannajana Kootasthar (Chief among those who
have surrendered). Among the twelve revered Azhvars who are shining stars of
Sri Vaishnavam, Swami Nammazhvar is the only Azhvar who is part of the divine
Acharya Guruparamparai. This is because it is through Swami Nammazhvar the
Sri Vaishnava Sampradayam got Nalayira Dhivya Prabhandham. This is explained
