SrImath kUrESar incarnated as amSam of a nitya sUri named SrI prachaNDa:.
He is the son of tirumalai-nambi. His gotram is SaTamarshanam. He did
sampradAya pravachanam in places like SrIrangam. He is an important disciple
of bhagavath rAmAnuja yatirAja swAmi. At the command of Bhagavath rAmAnuja,
he composed the first commentary on the divya prabandam named tiru-vAi-mozhi
in maNi-pravALam. It is named as bhagavath vishayam - tiruvARAyirappadi.
Bahagavad Ramanuja appointed 74 Simhasanatipati for the propagation of
Sampradayam. Of the 74 Simhasanatipati, Sri Bhashyakarar appointed
Thirukkurugai Piran Pillan, Nadadur, Azhvan, Kidambi Acchan, and Mudaliandan
as Sri Bhashya Simhasanatipati and given the charge for the propagation
Sri Bhashyam. Of these four, Bhagavad Ramanuja selected Thirukkurugau Piran
Pillan as Ubhaya Simhasanatipati and gave him the charge of propagation of
Sri Bhashyam and Bhagavad Vishyam.
